Do You Not Know?

Do You Not Know?

Hard not to feel the weight of the world right now, isn’t it? Every channel, every scroll is showcasing the chaotic state of our world. The atmosphere is heavy— an oppressive weight like a high humidity day that saps your strength.

We live in a hopeless world filled with anxiety-ridden people and chief among them are weary, worried believers. We are all guilty of letting fear get the best of us at times.

Why do we fret and lose sleep knowing we serve the very same God who…

Stilled the sun, the moon, and the seas.
Delivered His people from a furnace, a den, the wilderness and the belly of a whale.
Names stars, counts hairs, feeds sparrows and collects tears.

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He who sits above the circle of the earth…”Isaiah 40:21-22

There is no question where our King is… righteousness and justice are the foundations of the throne on which He sits. The Everlasting God, Author, Creator, Savior…seated above the circle of the earth…

The Author is not surprised by how the story is unfolding.
The Creator is not caught off-guard by how it’s turning out.
The Savior is not wondering if we were worth saving.

“Raise your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the One who brings out their multitude by number, He calls them all by name; because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, not one of them is missing.” – Isaiah 40:26

Nothing catches Him off-guard and nothing is beyond His control and understanding.

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives strength to the weary…” – Isaiah 40:28-29

He is able to calm and still your anxious heart.
…Let Him.
He is able to deliver you from fear and provide strength when you grow weary.
…Call on Him.
He knows your name, He has been counting the hair on your head and collecting every tears.
…Trust Him.

May we be a people showcasing the peace of God in the midst of chaos—our hope steadfast in Him, who is seated above it all.
