Joanne serves as Advancement & Accounting Director for pureHOPE. She has spent the better part of the last two decades building relationships, hosting events, and ministering to young parents, women, and believers in need of exactly her kind of warmth, relatability and support.
Her late husband and former pureHOPE leader, Jack Samad, initially thrust Joanne on stage when he asked her to join him in speaking to young people about their views on the pursuit of holiness. It did not take long for her to jump in with both feet as her heart broke over the sexualized culture. Now, Joanne is an important part of our ministry team, speaking about the sanctification and healing available to all of us in Jesus.
Joanne, or a member of the pureHOPE team, is available to speak on the following topics:
• Pursuing Purity in a Sexualized Culture – We are all imperfect people in need of healing and freedom from shame through faith in God’s better story of sex. We can pursue purity because the Pure One—Jesus—is pursuing us.
• Parenting in a Sexualized Culture – Parents, mentors, and influencers canproclaim truth without fear, navigate technology with confidence, and protect and equip their children by sharing with them God’s story of sex.
• Justice in a Sexualized Culture – Porn and sex trafficking are connected, and pervasive. As ambassadors of Christ we have a mandate to cultivate justice and righteousness every day, right where we are.
A Cincinnati native, Joanne can be seen out in the community surrounded by good food and friends or home on her back deck enjoying the blessing of remarriage to her husband Carl Cornelius and their combined nine children and eleven grandchildren. Joanne is known for prioritizing people and fun and epitomizes someone who can “rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn” (Romans 12:15).Request Speaker
