LISTEN TO EPISODE 22
“Resolve is not based in your own strength, but it’s in the strength that you’ve been given from the message, the encouragement, the comfort that God has given you.” —Dr. Vanessa Bouché
Dr. Vanessa Bouché joins us to talk about seeking with passion. She is one of the most passionate women we know in the truest sense of the word, and we will look at how “passion” (literally: to suffer) impacts how we seek the LORD and His kingdom through a lifestyle of prayer, understanding, resolve, and engagement.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR GUEST…
Dr. Vanessa Bouché is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. She is a leader in anti-trafficking research and data collection, and consults with a variety of organizations on anti-trafficking policy, programs, and practice. She has been an invited speaker by dozens of national and international agencies. Dr. Bouché has received several awards, including the Young Leader Award by the Texas Women’s Foundation, the Hero Award by Unlikely Heroes, and the Great Women of Texas Award by the Fort Worth Business Press. And though she is, “Dr. Bouché” a brilliant phD, she is also a very down-to-earth, compassionate, dear friend of our ministry! Vanessa recently founded Savhera, an organic essential oils brand that provides dignified livelihood to survivors of human trafficking, and a company in which she works alongside her husband and high-school sweetheart—you know him as our colleague and one of our co-hosts, Noel Bouché!
LIVING IN THE LOOP
Purity is not a state of being, but a state of becoming P-U-R-E. Coming out of this episode here are ways you can…
PRAY | Pray. Simply pray. And remember over and over again, to start with prayer, to come back to prayer, and to pray again.
UNDERSTAND | Seeking is not the same thing as striving.
RESOLVE | Resolve not in your own strength, but in the strength you’ve received from the LORD.
ENGAGE | Start with your own heart. Let that transform the atmosphere of your home/inner circle. Move toward your neighbors in love. Watch justice overflow to the nations through your actions.
