LISTEN TO EPISODE 21
“[My identity] has to be something that isn’t subject to change, and that is that I am a beloved daughter of God.” —Whitney McIntosh
We’re talking all about seeking identity. But wait… is our identity something we’re even supposed to seek?
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR GUEST…
As our Communications Coordinator, Whitney combines her passion for the gospel with her desire to deliver clear, effective communication. She makes sure anything you hear or see from our ministry is done with excellence and reflects the message that Jesus is our Pure Hope.
She was born and raised in Dallas, TX and is a graduate of Baylor University where she studied Communication and Religion. Whitney is also an alumna of a ministry/discipleship program called the Watermark Residency. She has spent most of the past decade in student ministry where she loves leading young people to understand their true identity in Christ, and where she has grown a passion for pureHOPE’s work of helping men and women lead in a sexualized culture.
Whitney is married to her best friend and greatest gift God has given her, Jeff. They currently live in Fort Worth, TX where they lead worship together at their local church. Her favorite pastimes are running along the Trinity River, catching up with friends, and tracking down the best fro-yo in town.
LIVING IN THE LOOP
Purity is not a state of being, but a state of becoming P-U-R-E. Coming out of this episode here are ways you can…
PRAY | Pray for your loving, personal, sovereign, creator God to reveal your true identity to you.
UNDERSTAND | Seek to grow in your understanding of who you are in Christ!
RESOLVE | Resolve to not put stock in what the world likes about you, to not diminish the God-given qualities people don’t affirm, but rather remind yourself of the deep, core truth of who you are as a beloved son or daughter of God!
ENGAGE | Share this message with others! Affirm their blood-bought, God-given, identity!
