LISTEN TO EPISODE 17
“When you get in to the word ‘seek’ you learn that it comes from the Latin meaning ‘to search out by scent’ which is a completely different exercise. My dog reminds me of that every single morning when I take him out for a walk…”
This has absolutely nothing to do with a song popularized by Elvis. And yet, this episode is aptly named. All of us are not too unlike hound dogs, hot on the trail of… something. Seek the LORD with all your heart… seek first His kingdom… what are you seeking with this kind of dog-like intensity? Aszia Pearson, Dan Martin, and Noel Bouché dive in to this season, themed, “Seek.” You may be listening to this episode with your ears, but we promise by the end you’ll be smelling the fragrance of the knowledge of Christ. Put your earbuds in and get ready to put your nose on the ground!

LIVING IN THE LOOP
Purity is not a state of being, but a state of becoming P-U-R-E. Coming out of this episode here are ways you can…
PRAY | Pray to catch the scent, the fragrant aroma of Christ. Pray to be compelled and drawn in by Him, so that you can seek Him with all your heart and seek the kingdom of God before all else.
UNDERSTAND | Seeking is not “casually looking,” but diligently searching, as if by scent. “What are you seeking?” (John 1:38a) How would you answer that question? Be honest!
RESOLVE | Resolve to have the intensity of a hound dog and the simplicity of the disciples, who responded , “Teacher, where are You staying?” Get on the trail of the Messiah. Clothe yourself in the dust He kicks up. Where is Jesus going? What is our King up to? Sniff it out! Follow Him!
ENGAGE | The relational depth we cultivate with God, will spill over into our relationships with others. This week, look for ways to truly seek out, to inquire, and to be present with the loved ones in your life rather than simply “seeing” them from afar through social media or casual interactions.
