LISTEN TO EPISODE 13
“The ultimate message about purity is the fact that Christ has become our righteousness for us.” –Dr. Jeff Warren
Dr. Jeff Warren and Whitney McIntosh join us in this episode to talk about discipleship. Often we want to leave ministry up to the “professionals” for whom discipleship is a literal job description. But the fact is we’ve all been called to make disciples, and the pursuit of purity is a community endeavor.
LIVING IN THE LOOP
Purity is not a state of being, but a state of becoming P-U-R-E. Coming out of this episode here are ways you can…
PRAY | Pray for your own and your kids/disciples understanding of God’s big, unending love. Pray for a sense of security in Him and pray for help to model that honesty and security for others.
UNDERSTAND | Sexual sin can lead to deep shame. The enemy loves to use this as a tactic. But remember, the first step into the light means you’re well on your way to intimacy. Our Father wants freedom for us and covers us in our shame.
RESOLVE | Embrace the awkward. Resolve to start—to “toddle” and trust that you’ll be running soon enough!
ENGAGE | Whether you are “formally” in a ministry role or not, recognize that you are in a ministry role and engage full force, own that role! Are you a parent? Friend? Sister? Uncle? Where can you create a safe space and share the love of God with others?
