LISTEN TO EPISODE 11
“Justice is not aspirational, it’s foundational.” —Jessica Mannon
In this episode we are considering the links between justice and righteousness and how to live out these virtues right where we are. Our friend, Jessica Mannon, reminds us there are no specialists when it comes to doing justice. Pursuing a world free of sexual exploitation and brokenness will require all of us.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR GUEST…
Jessica Mannon is an Associate attorney in the Commercial Litigation and Disputes Practice at an international law firm. But before becoming an attorney, Jessica worked for several nonprofits, and way back when interned for pureHOPE! Jessica and her husband, Jason, are passionate about serving their East Dallas church, community, and growing family. Jessica tries to remind herself daily that she is free to fail—because her Savior didn’t—and she strives to honestly share her struggles to bring others hope.
LIVING IN THE LOOP
Purity is not a state of being, but a state of becoming P-U-R-E. Coming out of this episode here are ways you can…
PRAY | As you go, seek the Lord and His heart for justice all around you.
UNDERSTAND | We all have responsibility for shaping the culture and community around us.
RESOLVE | Resolve to opt in. Doing justice is not just something for “specialists.”
ENGAGE | How can you steward your thoughts, words, and deeds to cultivate justice and righteousness right where you are?
GOD HAS THE BEST STORY
“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” —Micah 6:8
